Job summary

Lewis Tree Service in Memphis, TN is seeking a Groundperson to support vegetation management for utility partners and other customers. You’ll work outdoors with tree crews, maintain equipment, and assist with rigging and climbing tasks while prioritizing safety.

Qualifications

• Groundperson certification or ability to obtain it.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and lift up to 50 lbs; CDL preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification and herbicide applicator certification (or ability to complete).
• Commitment to following state, local, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Clear vegetation and debris from work sites around power lines.
• Operate and maintain tools like chainsaws, chippers, blowers, sprayers.
• Spot for climbers, hand up tools, and assist with rigging and felling.
• Safeguard colleagues and the public from hazards near work areas.
• Travel to various job sites and participate in safety briefings.
