Joshua Tree Experts is seeking a Tree Care Groundsman in Collin County, TX. You will support a 2–4 person crew with removal, pruning, stump grinding and chipper operations, while communicating with crew and the public when climbers are aloft.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in tree care operations.
• Valid driver's license.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to work 40 hours or more each week.

Responsibilities

• Assist crew with equipment and vehicle preparation daily.
• Ensure that drop zones are safe for coworkers and the public.
• Perform pruning and reducing.
• Safely use tree care operations equipment including gas powered saws, pole saws/clips, and chippers.
• Load and unload trucks and chippers with logs, brush and debris.
• Reports to work on time each day and follow directions from crew leaders and climbers.
• Maintain professional image and provide friendly customer service.
• Maintain and service equipment as needed.
• Follow safety culture and procedures.
• Set up safety and traffic control measures for job sites.

The Groundsman works alongside a 2 to 4-person tree crew assisting in tree removal, tree pruning, stump grinding and wood chipper operations. They are responsible for all communication with crew members and the public while climbers are aloft in trees or aerial lift trucks.

Groundsmen are essential to how our crews function day to day. This is a hands-on entry-to-early-career role for someone who wants to learn the trade, work hard, and grow within a professional tree care team.

What a Tree Care Groundsman does:
