Job summary

CCMC in Punta Gorda, FL is seeking a Groundskeeping Associate to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all common areas in our community. You will perform mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, and general upkeep to keep outdoor spaces welcoming for residents and visitors.

This onsite role emphasizes safety under OSHA guidelines, requires a valid driver's license, and offers competitive pay and a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401k matching.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, background check and physical.
• Must be organized and capable of outdoor facility upkeep.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, managers and peers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain conditions of roads and walkways in common areas.
• Regularly pressure wash and blow sidewalks, curbing, roads and spaces.
• Assist with upkeep of sports fields and surrounding complex.
• Remove garbage from roadways, sidewalks, fields and bleachers.
• Maintain drainage grates and clear blockages to ensure function.
• Operate within OSHA standards and company safety policies.

The Groundskeeping Associate helps maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all common areas in the community. Will perform tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, seasonal maintenance, and general upkeep of walkways and parks. This role plays a key part in executing our company’s purpose statement: We build a community by bringing people together in the neighborhoods where they live, by ensuring outdoor spaces are safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for residents and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Conditions of all roads and walkways comprising the common areas of the community
• Regularly pressure wash and blow sidewalks, curbing, roads, and common spaces
• Assist with the upkeep and maintenance of sports fields and surrounding complex
• Regular removal of garbage from roadways, sidewalks, fields, and bleachers
• Maintain drainage grates and remove blockages immediately to ensure their functionality
• Operate within OSHA standards and company safety policies.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old
• Must be organized, efficient and have the ability to recognize the level of quality acceptable to keep facilities looking their best
• Ability to communicate with residents, managers and peers in an effective way
• Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving history
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and physical

Physical Requirements

What To Include

• Lifting: Minimum of 25 pounds
• Mobility: Ability to walk for long periods to inspect and maintain grounds.
• Working conditions: The position involves working primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions.

The position is performed onsite.

• Personal protective gear: As needed for the work being performed.
• Extended Sitting or Standing: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings, trainings, or events.
• Driving: Ability to operate a vehicle to perform certain job functions. (Please note: We will request and review an MVR at the time of hire and on a periodic basis thereafter to ensure that employees maintain a satisfactory driving status.)
