Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking a Groundskeeper Technician to maintain outdoor spaces across campuses in Kokomo, Logansport, and Peru. You will operate lawn and snow equipment and assist with campus events.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, ability to work independently or with others, and a valid driver’s license. Opportunity to pursue a commercial applicator certification and participate in an apprenticeship program is available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work alone and with others.
• Initiative and ability to work without supervision, when required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet the requirements to be an authorized driver of a college vehicle.
• Willingness and ability to earn a commercial applicator certification.
• Willingness to participate in the Ivy Tech Building Construction Apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular grounds and landscaping maintenance at Kokomo, Logansport, and Peru campuses.
• Seasonal duties: leaf removal, salting sidewalks, snow shoveling.
• Remove trash and debris from campus grounds and entrances.
• Maintain lawn care and snow removal equipment.
