Tyson Foods in Springdale, AR is seeking a groundskeeping teammate to maintain the premises of the plant and operate a certified forklift. This role includes outdoor work, trimming, weed eating, and trash pickup, with lifting up to 70 pounds. Training in chemical loading/unloading and spill control is required and some duties may be assigned by a supervisor.

Work shifts vary and weekends are frequent; the role offers outdoor exposure and a team-based environment at a food-processing facility.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in groundskeeping or landscaping preferred.
• Forklift certification required.
• Chemical handling knowledge is preferred.
• SPCC training is a plus.
• Ability to operate outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsabilités

Responsibility

This position is responsible for the overall physical appearance of the premises.

Driver Requirements

• Must pass MVR check
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must not have any DUI/DWI convictions within the last 12 months

Other Duties

Must work according to the supervisor’s instructions at wastewater.

Equipment

Safety vest, gloves, PPE as required to unload chemicals, rain suit, trash containers/liners, water hoses, etc.

Work primarily outside the facility subject to elements of weather, some assignments inside facility as directed. Stand/walking majority of shifts to keep grounds clean and orderly as directed. Work with chemicals. Days per week and hours per day will vary.

Pay

$17.15 hour

Requirements

• 1 year experience in groundskeeping, lawn maintenance, or landscaping field preferred, small engine repair knowledge is helpful.
• Please add resume and/or list experience in the application.
• There is 180 days (6 months) waiting period for former Tyson Foods team members.
• Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.
• This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.
