Job summary

YES Communities is seeking a Grounds Keeper to maintain community grounds and facilities, including mowing, landscaping, and basic repairs. The role supports the Community Manager and focuses on keeping the grounds attractive and safe for residents.

The position requires working knowledge of groundskeeping, ability to lift up to 50–85 lbs as needed, and adherence to OSHA standards. This is an on-site role in Michigan with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid in-state driver's license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• OSHA training or certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain community assets including grounds, buildings, equipment, pools, etc.
• Mow lawns and trim edges around walks, flower beds, etc.
• Landscaping, including planting flowers, maintaining tree limbs and pruning as needed
• Perform minor repairs on equipment used in groundskeeping
• Follow OSHA standards and maintain PPE equipment
• Respond to emergency calls as directed by management
• Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and residents
• Assist with maintenance tasks, including delivering notices and meter reads as directed by the community manager
• Maintain safe winter road conditions through snow removal and de-icing when applicable
• Additional duties as assigned by management and subject to change
