Essential Functions:

• Remove trash from grounds and buildings daily.
• Assist maintenance director with routine maintenance of facility and grounds.
• Including, but not limited to, mowing, weed eating, repairs to building and equipment and painting.
• Overall, maintaining a high quality of repair and appearance of the entire grounds.
• Maintain a professional image of the YMCA in the YMCA and in the community.
• Communicate effectively with staff and members.
• Set up and take down rooms for activities as directed.
• Attends all staff meetings, required training sessions and special events.
• Other duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum age of 16 years or older.

• Acquire and maintain the following certifications within 30 days of hire date via YMCA, American Red Cross, American Heart Association and American Health and Safety Institute (ASHI):
  • First Aid/CPR /AED (valid 2 years unless otherwise noted)
• Requisite Redwoods Online Training Modules (completed prior to start date and repeated annually).

Physical Demands:

• Must have the physical, visual and auditory ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Perform related physical skills including: bending, lifting, squatting, reaching, standing, walking, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; crouch, or crawl.
• Must be willing to work nontraditional hours.
• Standing for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally life and/or move up to 100 pounds.
