Weber County is seeking a seasonal Building Service Worker for the Golden Spike Event Center to care for landscaping and grounds throughout the fairgrounds. This position offers up to 40 hours per week for up to 6 months.
Responsibilities include operating mowers, weed eaters, tractors, and sprinklers; performing basic irrigation work; maintaining flower beds; and handling general custodial tasks. Applicants should have experience with landscaping equipment and a valid Utah driver's license.

Under the general supervision of the Building Service Worker, responsible for care and maintenance of landscaping throughout the fairgrounds.

Experience: Some experience in operation of mowers, weed eaters and other equipment and knowledge in landscaping.
Knowledge of: Considerable knowledge of hand tools and mower usage. Minor engine repair work.
Skills and Abilities to: Ability to maintain service records of equipment. Ability to repair sprinkling systems. Ability to perform work requiring light, medium, and occasionally heavy physical effort. Ability to follow direction and work well with others.
