Job summary

Service Corporation International in Westlake Village, CA is seeking an entry-level Cemetery Maintenance Associate to maintain the grounds of cemetery, mausoleum or funeral home locations. You will mow, trim, snow removal, and assist with openings/closings for interments, ensuring the grounds look pristine.

This part-time role requires physical stamina and the ability to operate lawn equipment; safety and regulatory compliance training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months relevant experience in landscaping or similar physical labor.
• Funeral industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mows grass, plows snow, waters lawns, fertilizes and trims shrubs.
• Removes debris and trash from grounds; maintains cemetery appearance.

Performs all groundskeeping and maintenance matters on the properties and maintains the overall appearance of a cemetery, mausoleum or funeral home location. Incumbent gains an understanding of how a cemetery operates.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESMows grass, plows snow, waters lawns, fertilizes and trims shrubs, tends flower beds and regularly inspects assigned work areas to ensure proper standards are maintainedOperates lawn and grounds equipment including push and power mowers, snow blowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers and other related power equipmentRemoves debris and trash from grounds.
