Job summary

American Furniture Warehouse is seeking a Groundskeeper in Surprise, AZ to provide professional landscaping services for our facility. You will mow, prune, edge, and maintain all landscaping equipment, ensuring the outside appearance meets AFW standards.

You will perform routine maintenance, take on special projects, and work with the maintenance team to keep the grounds and building in top condition. A flexible schedule includes holidays and weekends; starting pay is $18 per hour with benefits

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted in lieu of diploma.
Knowledge of PPE and safe work practices.
Experience using power tools and lawn care equipment.
Flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

Mow the lawns, prune the bushes and trees, edge the walkways and give the grounds a manicured look.
Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on the lawn care equipment and tools.
Take on special landscaping or planting projects as deemed necessary by the AFW management team.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure grounds and building are cared for and clean up to AFW standards.
Plant and care for shrubs, trees, plants, and flowers.
Sprays for weeds and insects using chemicals approved by AFW.
Report vandalism, property issues, and liabilities with recommendations.
Maintain a neat and safe work environment.
