Full‑Time Groundskeeper/Janitor – Dickinson, ND.
Mission
The Groundskeeper/Janitor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the apartment community. This role supports resident satisfaction by ensuring common areas, grounds, and vacant units are clean, well‑maintained, and market‑ready while upholding company standards and safety protocols.
Accountabilities
- Clean and prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including kitchens, bathrooms, and living areas.
- Remove trash from vacant units, common areas, office areas, and property perimeter.
- Maintain grounds, landscaping, building exteriors, parking lots, and amenities to ensure strong curb appeal.
- Perform lawn care, planting, seasonal garden maintenance, and snow/ice removal as assigned.
- Follow cleaning schedules and checklists; maintain janitorial closets and storage areas.
- Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and report supply or maintenance needs.
- Report maintenance concerns and unsafe conditions immediately.
- Provide professional customer service to residents and represent the community professionally.
- Follow all company policies and safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education, Training and Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial, cleaning, or groundskeeping related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer‑oriented demeanor.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. Able to lift up to 50 lb. constantly.
- Knowledge of safety guidelines and the ability to follow them.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license is required to complete the essential functions of the position (traveling to different properties, obtaining/transporting supplies, etc.).
