Job summary

Carleton Living in Dallas, TX is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the property’s interior and exterior areas and assist the maintenance team with basic tasks. You will perform cleaning and upkeep of common spaces, assist with pool maintenance, and help prepare units for new tenants.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the flexibility to participate in on-call rotations, including evenings and weekends when needed.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Ability to work well with others and as part of a team.
• Previous groundskeeper experience helpful, but not required.
• The ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of general maintenance and cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Clean up trash from around the property dumpsters or trash chutes, always ensuring a clean and tidy appearance.
• Clean the pool area and arrange pool furniture.
• Maintain cleanliness of the leasing office and all amenity and common areas ensuring general cleanliness of grounds, laundry rooms, walkways, streets, driveways, parking lots, entrances, foyers, breezeways, recreational areas, etc.
• Complete trash out of vacated apartments designated by supervisor and prepare unit for make-ready. Complete carpet repairs and clean and shampoo carpet as needed.
• Complete minor repairs to walls, doors, wood trim, closets and cabinets and ready for painting.
• Report major repair or cleaning problems to management (ex. HVAC, large sheet rock damage, etc).
• Re-key master locks and make keys available for leasing prior to move-in.

The Groundskeeper may also assist the maintenance team with work orders, moving furniture, and unloading/storing supplies; assist with pool maintenance; and be responsible for pressure washing. You may be required to participate in the on-call rotation including evening and weekends in this position.
