Position Title Groundskeeper II - Facilities Services/Grounds, Palm Bay

Eastern Florida State College is currently seeking applications for the full-time position of Groundskeeper II on the Palm Bay Campus in Palm Bay, Florida.

Salary & Benefit

The annual salary is $33,000. Full-time employees of Eastern Florida State College receive fringe benefits including health insurance and a retirement plan.

Position Concept

Responsible for maintaining the campus grounds to include, but not limited to, mowing, edging, trimming trees, shrubs, foliage, and turf grass.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Five years of experience in landscaping trade.
• Must have knowledge of the operation of hand tools and small equipment used in the trade.
• Restricted Pesticide license preferred.
• Valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator’s license required.
• A review of Social Media activity will be part of the candidate evaluation process.
• This position will require successful fingerprinting and the candidate chosen will be required to pay the associated fee (currently $36.00).This fingerprinting fee ($36.00) is non-refundable.

Minimum physical qualifications:

• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 40+ pounds.
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information and/or data from a computer.
• Works outside in various weather conditions.
• Works in or with moving vehicles and/or equipment.
• Works in noisy conditions.
