Recent Jobs is seeking a Groundskeeper II in Gainesville, FL to perform turf mowing on commercial properties and operate large mowers and tractors in a safe, efficient manner. The role requires a Florida Class E driver’s license and a GI-BMP certification within six months.

Typical hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the position classified as full-time. A ninth-grade education and one year of relevant experience are required to qualify.

Job Description

Performs turf mowing functions on commercial zero-turn mowers. Operates large farm type tractors with implements such as mowers, spreaders, edger's, tillers, leaf sweepers, etc., used in turf and landscape maintenance in a safe and efficient manner.

Performs grounds maintenance tasks in assigned work areas. Drives state vehicles that requires a Class E driver's license.

Performs and documents equipment safety checks. Assists mechanic in servicing assigned equipment.

Employee must possess and maintain valid Florida Class E driver's license.

Employee must possess or obtain within (6) months of employment GI-BMP Certification.

Position requires a criminal background check and post offer health assessment.

Position considered as Essential Personnel as defined by UF Policy

Normal Work Schedule

7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

Expected Salary

$16.00 Hourly

Required Qualifications

Completion of ninth grade and one year of relevant experience.

Preferred

High school diploma or equivalent Two years' experience in running mowers and tractors
