Job summary

Biggs Property Management is seeking a skilled Groundskeeper & Housekeeper to support and maintain the integrity and functionality of our Elex community in Fort Wayne, IN. The role combines outdoor grounds care with interior cleaning to keep residents’ living spaces safe and welcoming.

The ideal candidate is dependable, punctual, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic. This part-time position requires flexibility to handle weather-related and seasonal tasks while upholding professionalism

Qualifications

• Is comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Can work independently while also communicating effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Is proactive in identifying safety concerns or maintenance issues and reporting them promptly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the appearance of the community grounds, including lawns, landscaping, walkways, and parking areas
• Perform routine tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, and debris removal
• Pick up litter and ensure outdoor areas are clean and presentable
• Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal, ice treatment, and landscaping projects
• Identify and report safety hazards or maintenance issues
• Safely use and care for groundskeeping tools and equipment
• Clean and maintain interior areas such as lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, laundry rooms, and restrooms
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces
• Empty trash and recycling containers
• Restock cleaning supplies as needed
• Report damage or maintenance concerns observed during cleaning
