You will mow, edge, trim, manage irrigation, perform basic plumbing and electrical tasks, install shelving, and support minor renovations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, facility maintenance, or related field.
• Valid Texas Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance instructions and work orders.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Nexus Disposal is seeking a skilled and dependable Groundskeeper / Handyman to maintain the appearance, safety, and functionality of company properties, buildings, and grounds. This position combines landscaping and grounds maintenance with general handyman and facility repair responsibilities. The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-motivated, and experienced in landscaping, property upkeep, light construction, and basic repair work.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesGroundskeeping & LandscapingMow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns and landscaped areas.Plant, water, prune, and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and other vegetation.Apply mulch, fertilizer, and soil amendments as needed.Remove weeds, overgrown vegetation, and debris from company property.Maintain irrigation and sprinkler systems, including basic repairs and troubleshooting.Perform seasonal landscaping projects and property beautification efforts.Keep parking lots, sidewalks, entrances, and common areas clean and presentable.Remove storm debris, fallen branches, and other property hazards.Must be able to operate and maintain riding lawn mower and other equipmentHandyman & Facility MaintenancePerform general repairs and preventative maintenance on company buildings and facilities.Repair doors, locks, gates, fencing, windows, drywall, flooring, and fixtures.Install shelving, signs, office furniture, and miscellaneous equipment.Perform basic plumbing repairs such as replacing faucets, unclogging drains, and repairing leaks.Perform basic electrical work such as replacing outlets, switches, light fixtures, and bulbs (within skill level and local regulations).Paint, patch, and repair walls, ceilings, and other building surfaces.Assist with office renovations, facility improvements, and special projects.Pressure wash buildings, sidewalks, equipment, and outdoor work areas.Conduct routine inspections of company property and report maintenance concerns.Minimum 5 years of experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, facility maintenance, handyman services, or a related field.Working knowledge of landscaping equipment and maintenance practices.Experience with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair work.Ability to read and follow maintenance instructions and work orders.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic
