29th Street Property Management is seeking an experienced Groundskeeper to maintain the grounds, exteriors, and common areas of our multifamily communities in Houston. The role includes preparing market-ready units and supporting the maintenance team with tasks as needed.

Qualifications emphasize neat presentation, strong communication, teamwork, and safe operation of groundskeeping tools. A valid driver’s license may be required, and prior groundskeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Be neat, clean and professional at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community.
• Demonstrate ability to perform tasks without outside contractor assistance.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills for communicating with residents, co-workers and senior management.
• Demonstrate ability to contribute to and foster a team approach to serving residents and maintaining a successful community.
• Must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of groundskeeping tools.
• Must have demonstrated ability to solve problems in a variety of practical situations and follow standardized procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings.
• Remove trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter on a daily basis.
• Assist in the preparation of market ready units, including trash removal from vacant apartments prior to make-ready.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager with assigned maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
• Assist in the cleaning of vacant apartments and/or models.
• Assist Maintenance team with snow removal (if applicable).
• Assist in the troubleshoot/repair of mechanical, carpentry and electrical problems.
• Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments, models, clubhouse, and/or common areas to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Meticulously maintains curb appeal.
• Assist management team with other various tasks required.
• Ensures that unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Groundskeeper is responsible for the upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings of multi-family residential apartments.
