Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Groundskeeper in Boise to support our campus operations. The role is full-time with day shift hours, starting early morning and potential spring schedule changes.

The position emphasizes maintaining grounds, gardens, and outdoor spaces in a hospital environment. As a groundskeeping team member, you will perform routine maintenance, operate equipment, and follow safety protocols while contributing to a patient-centered work setting.

Formación

• 1 year of landscape maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with small engines, motor mechanics, and irrigation repair preferred.
• Must have active driving privileges.

Responsabilidades

• Know and model the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in daily work.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Complete tasks under supervision.
• Follow safety rules and procedures.
• Maintain turf areas using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Care for gardens and flowerbeds, remove debris and cigarette litter.
• Prune flowers, shrubs, bushes, and trees.
• Perform routine maintenance on grounds equipment and fleet vehicles.
• Operate snow removal equipment.
• Report issues to Supervisor or upper level staff.
• Write work orders for equipment repairs.

Position Highlights And Benefits

• Schedule Information: This position will be scheduled to work full-time during the day shift hours. Current schedule is: 5am-1:30pm Possible schedule change in the spring to: 5am-3:30pm
• Position supports department operations year-round.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1 year of landscape maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience working with small engine, motor mechanics, and irrigation repair preferred.
• Must have active driving privileges.

What You Will Do

• Candidate needs to know, understand, incorporate, and demonstrate the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
• Ability to follow written/verbal instructions .
• Completes all tasks under direct supervision of the supervisor or other department staff as assigned.
• Performs duties so that instructions and procedures are followed and safety rules are observed.
• Maintains turf areas using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Cares for all gardens and flowerbeds by chemical and physical weeding; removes cigarettes and debris.
• Prunes flowers, shrubs, bushes, and trees using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Conducts routine maintenance on grounds equipment and fleet vehicles.
• Operates snow removal equipment.
• Reports any issues to Supervisor or upper level staff.
• Writes work orders for repairs needed on equipment.
