Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain turf, gardens, and facilities grounds in alignment with our mission and safety standards.

The full-time day shift typically runs 5am–1:30pm, with potential spring changes to 5am–3:30pm, supporting operations year‑round. We offer Day 1 benefits, PTO, 403B, education assistance, and Daily Pay options to our colleagues.

Qualifications

• 1 year of landscape maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience working with small engine, motor mechanics, and irrigation repair preferred.
• Must have active driving privileges.

Responsibilities

• Candidate needs to know, understand, incorporate, and demonstrate the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
• Ability to follow written/verbal instructions .
• Completes all tasks under direct supervision of the supervisor or other department staff as assigned.
• Performs duties so that instructions and procedures are followed and safety rules are observed.
• Maintains turf areas using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Cares for all gardens and flowerbeds by chemical and physical weeding; removes cigarettes and debris.
• Prunes flowers, shrubs, bushes, and trees using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Conducts routine maintenance on grounds equipment and fleet vehicles.
• Operates snow removal equipment.
• Reports any issues to Supervisor or upper level staff.
• Writes work orders for repairs needed on equipment.
