American Campus Communities is seeking a Groundskeeper for the UIC Academic & Residential Complex in Chicago, IL. The role supports maintenance of buildings and grounds, including common areas and amenities, while contributing to curb appeal and property upkeep.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn general labor and apartment maintenance. Training is provided; prior facilities experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to drive a golf cart and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of general labor, housekeeping and cleaning tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, including MSDS for chemicals.
• Ability to understand and follow written or verbal multi-step instructions.

Responsabilités

• Clean interior and exterior of the property to standard.
• Groundskeeping including trash collection.
• Vacuuming, mopping and/or shampooing floors in resident rooms and common areas; stocking bathrooms.
• Assist the service team with work orders, moving furniture, and storing supplies.
• Support apartment make-ready duties, including trash outs, cleaning, and painting.
• Assist in property turnover process.
• Support pool maintenance (if applicable) and pressure washing.
• Safely operate all facility equipment, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
• Maintain clean and orderly shops, storage areas, and back-of-house environments.
• Other duties, as assigned by supervisor.
