Responsibilities

• Maintains and cares for hospital grounds including lawns, shrubbery, flowers, roadways, and snow removal.
• Mows lawns, trims hedges, and rakes and removes leaves and refuse.
• Plants and maintains flower beds, bushes, trees, etc.
• Shovels and/or plows snow.
• Administers water supply when required.
• Moves furniture and equipment as requested.
• Operates equipment, i.e. tractors and trucks.
• Observes all relevant risk management and infection control policies and procedures, and any applicable quality improvement activities.
• Attends orientation and ongoing in-service education as required.
• Observes all general hospital policies, guiding principles, and rules and regulations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
