Job summary

The Northwest Georgia Housing Authority is seeking a dependable Groundskeeper to maintain the appearance, safety, and cleanliness of residential communities in Rome, Georgia. This full-time position involves mowing, landscaping, and general grounds maintenance to ensure an attractive environment for residents and visitors.

Qualified candidates should have knowledge of lawn care and the ability to operate landscaping tools safely. Work will be performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, supporting the overall maintenance team.

Qualifications

• One year of groundskeeping, landscaping, lawn care, or related experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
• Ability to pass required background screening and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the appearance, safety, and cleanliness of our residential communities.
• Mow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns and landscaped areas.
• Remove litter, debris, and bulk trash from properties.

Skills

Knowledge of lawn care and landscaping practices

Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and tools

Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
