Job summary

Avanti Residential is seeking a Groundskeeper in Miami to maintain the property’s grounds, pools, and buildings. You will perform daily cleaning and maintenance and support the maintenance team to keep the community looking its best.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year maintenance experience, and a valid driver’s license. We offer bonuses, benefits, a 401(k) match, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ years property maintenance experience preferred.
• Maintain professional and courteous manner with residents and staff.
• Able to use power and hand tools safely.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance or reliable transportation.
• Pass criminal background screening.
• Wonderlic assessment may be required during screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of grounds and common areas.
• Monitor property condition and correct unsafe/unclean conditions.
• Assist maintenance in keeping a clean and orderly shop.
• Participate in community improvement and preventive maintenance programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Community and Service Manager.

The Groundskeeper is responsible for efficiently maintaining the physical appearance of the apartment community's grounds, pools, and buildings.

What You'll Do...

• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of grounds and common areas.
• Aware of the condition of the property at all times and take immediate steps to correct unsafe and unclean conditions.
• Assist maintenance in maintaining a clean and orderly shop.
• Participate in an ongoing community improvement plan and a preventive maintenance program.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Community and Service Manager.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of property maintenance experience preferred.
• Maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors, and fellow employees.
• Communicate clearly to residents and respond to resident's service requests and concerns in a timely, professional manner.
• Can use power and hand tools effectively and safely when completing maintenance tasks.
• Must have time management skills to successfully navigate frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, be accountable for actions, self-motivated.
• Possible travel to other properties owned by Avanti Residential to help sister communities.
• Frequent contact with residents of all backgrounds.
• Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and up-to-date vehicle insurance OR reliable transportation is required.
• If minimum qualifications are met during resume screening the Wonderlic pre-employment assessment is required. The assessment will arrive in the email inbox that you provided.
