Job summary

Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the appearance of our grounds in Durant. You will report to the Grounds Supervisor or Manager and work in a full-time capacity. Wage is $15.95/hr with seasonal shifts: Summer 6am-2:30pm and Winter 7am-3:30pm; wage access is available.

Responsibilities include operating lawn equipment, litter removal, plant care, hedge maintenance, snow/ice clearing, and keeping areas tidy. A valid driver's license and safety awareness are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License
• Read and follow written or oral directions for tasks
• Understand government public health regulations, as needed
• Understand and follow safety standards related to performance of the job.

Responsibilities

• Operates various types of lawn equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, edgers, blowers, etc.
• Pick up trash and other routine tasks to maintain the grounds.
• Caring for established lawns and landscaping by mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, weeding, and planting.
• Uses hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, and hedge trimmers.
• Tree, hedge, and shrub care that includes using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
• Occasional manual removal of snow and ice from walkways, drives, etc.
• Keeping work areas clear of clutter and debris.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the appearance of the grounds of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma properties. You will report to the Grounds Supervisor or Manager.

Location: Durant

Pay: $15.95/hr

Schedule: Regular/Full-Time

Must have availability to work the following seasonal shifts.

• Summer 6am-2:30pm
• Winter 7am-3:30pm

Wage access is an option for this position.
