Job summary

El Capitan Canyon Resort is seeking a Groundskeeper to join our outdoor team on the 300-acre property. You will work with the Groundskeeping Manager to maintain pristine landscapes and support a luxury glamping experience.

Responsibilities include lawn care, weed control, irrigation inspection, trash removal, and ensuring the resort remains presentable and safe for guests. Must lift 25 pounds and operate hand tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Education.
• Groundskeeping experience in resort/hospitality.
• Broad experience in general grounds maintenance techniques.
• Ability to endure seasonal outdoor work.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficient with hand tools, power equipment and machinery.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and perform maintenance with hand tools, blowers, mowers, drills.
• Keep lawns manicured; weed control, mulch, trim shrubs/hedges.
• Inspect irrigation system and repair as needed.
• Collect trash from common areas daily; empty containers as needed.
• Report maintenance issues to the Groundskeeping Manager.
• Ensure resort remains presentable and adheres to standards.
• Safely operate vehicles for job duties.
• Follow safety procedures and complete other duties as assigned.

El Capitan Canyon Resort may have the opportunity you have been seeking. We offer a luxury glamping experience on 300 acres in a stunning natural environment. As a groundskeeper, you will provide a variety of landscaping and maintenance duties that will help us create the magical surroundings our guests have grown to appreciate.

Job Summary

As a Groundskeeper, you will report to our Groundskeeping Manager. You will work together to…

• Empty trash, shovel, and perform maintenance or repair duties using saws, blowers, mowers, drills or other hand tools.
• Ensure lawns are manicured appropriately. Regularly treat weeds for weed control, weed whip, rake leaves, plant flowers/ shrubs, spread mulch/ woodchips / stones, trim shrubs and hedges, cut and remove tree limbs damaged by adverse weather conditions, and perform other lawn care services as necessary.
• Inspect irrigation system regularly to ensure it is working properly; repair as needed.
• Pick-up trash and debris from common areas and streets on a daily basis. Empty common area trash containers as needed.
• Report all resort maintenance issues and concerns identified while performing daily duties to manager.
• Ensure resort is presentable at all times and adheres to El Capitan Canyon Resort’s standards.
• Safely operate vehicles for the purpose of performing job duties.
• Follow safety procedures while performing duties.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Education.
• Previous groundskeeping experience in the resort/hospitality industry,
• Demonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general grounds maintenance techniques.
• Ability to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery.
• Ability to provide legible written reports.
• Ability to work well independently as well as on a team.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
