Job summary

Hollywood Casino St. Louis is hiring a Groundskeeper to maintain exterior areas and facilities across our campus. The role includes keeping walkways, parking areas, and landscaping in good condition, power washing where needed, and assisting with seasonal tasks to support the facilities team.

Pay starts at up to $18.00 per hour (BOE), with a shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Candidates must be 21+, able to obtain a gaming license, and commit to safety and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 21 years old and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid gaming license where required.
• Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years in grounds keeping or exterior maintenance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel/Word).
• Ability to read/write in English and communicate effectively.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills; able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license; post-offer background checks may apply.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility grounds including garages, walkways, lots and roads.
• Clean and maintain exterior areas and perform power washing as needed.
• Provide snow and ice removal and other seasonal duties.
• Assist higher level staff with related tasks as assigned.

As a Groundskeeper, you will:

Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour (BOE) | Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

• Performs general Grounds keeping work necessary to maintain facility grounds which also may include garages, walkways, lots and roads; assists in the maintenance of exterior lighting; and provides routine support duties to higher level staff; and performs related tasks within area of assignment.
• Cleans and maintains all aspects of the exterior areas.
• Power washes exterior areas as assigned in a variety of areas that include patios and sidewalks; performs snow and ice removal and treatment when needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Applicant must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum two (1) year of experience in grounds keeping, exterior cleaning and/or maintenance experience.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word).
• Must be able to read and write in English and have good verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, fractions, decimals, percentages, etc.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Must possess a valid driver's license for the state in which you reside. In addition to the pre-employment background check, this position will be subject to periodic checks of your driving record to determine your continued suitability to drive company and/or patron vehicles.
• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
• Knowledge of building management systems strongly preferred.
