Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality, owner of The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside, CA, is seeking a Groundskeeper to help maintain our iconic property and create a world-class guest experience.

You will operate mowing equipment, water and fertilize turf, grade soil, lay sod, plant beds, assist irrigation maintenance, perform routine maintenance, and support other departments as needed while delivering friendly, attentive service to guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Grounds or landscaping experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and a guest-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mowing equipment and manage turf areas.
• Water and fertilize turf areas and plants.
• Grade soil, lay sod, and plant beds; assist in cultivation practices.
• Performs routine maintenance and cleaning; minor repairs to equipment.
• Support irrigation maintenance tasks and related activities.
• Report abnormalities and assist other departments as needed.
• Assist in housekeeping duties of the Maintenance facility.

In this role, you will play a key part in creating a world-class experience for our guests! You will perform routine labor involved in grounds maintenance and construction, and related work. You will be working closely with different members of our team, so you will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude.If working outdoors, making meaningful connections, figuring out what it takes and stepping it up to win the day is what you do, and you love it, we want you! This is a tremendous opportunity for a driven person to grow and learn at a world-class property!Your role:Operate powered equipment in mowing specified areasWaters and fertilizes turf areas and plants.Grades and prepares soil plant beds, lays sod, and plants vegetative material. Assists in cultivation practices dealing with all turf areas.Performs routine maintenance and cleaningPerforms a variety of labor duties including Sting trimming, edging, pruning, top-dressing, hazard maintenance, divot repair, and drainage tasks.Supports irrigation maintenance duties such as: irrigation head trimming, valve trimming, PVC pipe repairs, head leveling, and minor electrical tasks.Operates mechanical loaders in moving soil, debris, and other materials.Supports the mechanic in lubrication and minor service repairs to equipment.Participate as support staff on any special projects.Report all abnormalities on the golf course such as damage disease, insects, debris, etc.Support other departments as needed and as opportunities arise.Assist in all housekeeping duties of the Maintenance facility.What are we looking for?Someone with an engaging and welcoming personalitySomeone with a strong attention to detailSomeone who can work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentSomeone with a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guestsSomeone with excellent communication skillsSomeone with a High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Someone with Golf course grounds or landscaping experience preferred.Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull throughout duration of shift.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Compensation:$18.00$18.00Pyramid Global Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.
