Job summary

OSF HealthCare, through its Pointcore affiliate, seeks a Groundskeeper to maintain outdoor spaces across facilities, including lawns, beds, trees and shrubs. You will support exterior upkeep and basic custodial tasks, ensuring clean and safe surroundings.

Required are a High School/GED and a valid driver's license; strong interpersonal communication is essential. Landscaping experience is a plus. This is an hourly role with competitive pay and growth opportunities within OSF HealthCare.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and care for facility grounds including lawn areas, flower beds, plants, shrubs and trees.

• Assist with custodial duties and exterior maintenance; transport and dispose of solid waste and perform general outside maintenance duties.

Expected pay for this position is $18.85 - $21.21/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Groundskeeper maintains and cares for facility grounds including lawn areas, flower beds, plants, bulbs and flowers, shrubbery and trees. A groundskeeper performs preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment such as utility tractors, garden and lawn equipment, snow plows, chainsaws and all transportation vehicles. Assists with general custodial duties such as washing walls and windows; transports and disposes of solid waste and performs general outside maintenance duties.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School/GED


• Valid driver's license


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in landscaping and groundskeeping


• Basic understanding of general maintenance principles and the basic skills necessary to perform rudimentary maintenance tasks
