Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and organized works areas on the golf course.
• Mow greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas.
• Water tees, greens, and fairways; operate irrigation heads.
• Repair the irrigation system and pipes as needed.
• Grade and prepare soil base; lay sod and seeds.
• Trim and prune hedges and shrubbery; clean flower beds.
• Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.

The Groundskeeper is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance around the golf course.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Must possess the ability design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course
• Experience with operating greens/fairway mowers preferred
• Must possess the ability to create spray programs for the golf course including greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and landscaping
• Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations
• Ability to give oral and written instructions
• Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation
• Must be dependable

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized works areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
• Mows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
• Applies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf course
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or manager
