Job summary

Emerge Living is seeking a Groundskeeper to support our on-site maintenance and landscape teams at our Houston-area communities. This hands-on role focuses on keeping exterior spaces clean, safe, and attractive for residents.

You will work with the Service Manager and office staff to deliver world-class service, perform routine grounds maintenance, assist in unit make-ready, and respond to maintenance needs while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be willing to work evenings or weekends on call.
• Able to follow directions in English or Spanish.
• Able to walk, stand, climb stairs and access various areas of the property.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally heavier with team assistance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the community landscape and exterior image, including driveways, parking lots, and common areas.
• Perform routine grounds maintenance such as trimming, pruning, watering, and irrigation monitoring.
• Assist in make-ready units and trash removal prior to leasing.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and document activities, communicating with residents and supervisors.
• Collaborate with maintenance team and contractors to ensure safe, clean communities.

The Groundskeeper is a member of the Maintenance staff working directly with the Service Manager and the office staff to provide world-class service to our residents.
