Job summary

Four Winds Casino Hartford is seeking a part-time EVS Janitorial Operations team member to keep designated outdoor areas clean and well maintained.

Responsibilities include emptying outdoor trash, sweeping sidewalks and parking areas, trimming plants, operating lawn and snow equipment as needed, and keeping beds weed-free. A valid driver's license and a Level 4 Gaming License are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; grounds maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required; clean driving record.

Description

SUMMARY

Responsible for keeping assigned grounds areas clean and free of debris.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains all trash receptacles in outdoor public areas, ensuring the area is clean and free of litter.
• Cleans outside public areas, sidewalks, and parking areas; picks up leaves and litter.
• Trims and prunes tree branches.
• Operates and maintains power lawn mowers, ensuring the equipment is clean and in proper working condition.
• Ensures all plant beds are free of weeds, dead flowers, etc.
• Operates snow removal equipment, if necessary.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.) and grounds maintenance experience preferred.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.

This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.
