Job summary

Chaska seeks a Groundskeeper to maintain the golf course's appearance and playability under golf course leadership. Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, watering, and general landscaping to ensure top condition and a positive guest experience.

Applicants should be at least 16, with a High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior groundskeeping experience is welcome but not required; must operate equipment safely and communicate effectively on site.

HOW YOUR ROLE FITS INTO CHASKA:

Under the direction of golf course leadership, the golf course Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and playability of the golf course. This may include mowing, trimming, watering, and performing other landscaping and course maintenance tasks to ensure the course is in top condition and provides a positive golfing experience for guests.

• Maintain fairways, greens, tees, sand traps, and roughs.
• Assist with repairs and maintenance on irrigation equipment as needed.
• Plant, prune, and maintain trees, shrubs, and flowers around the course.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides as directed.
• Assist in setting up the course for daily play, including moving tee markers, changing hole locations, and maintaining bunkers.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on groundskeeping equipment.
• Assist with general maintenance tasks such as trash removal, pathway repairs, post and signage repairs, and facility upkeep

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

• High School degree or equivalent required; may consider current high school students for temporary, summer positions.
• At least 16 years of age.
• Previous experience in groundskeeping and landscaping preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate and maintain various types of groundskeeping equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Effective communication and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• A valid driver’s license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check. The outcome of any MVR checks conducted may negatively impact the persons’ ability to participate in any vehicle program provided by the company, including but not limited to the ability to drive a personal vehicle on behalf of The Boldt Company or rent a vehicle through for business travel purposes.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to position objects and operate tools or controls. Employee may frequently uses computer keyboards. The employee is occasionally required to position self to maneuver in confined or awkward spaces. The employee regularly is required to remain in a stationary position and move to access people or machinery or workspaces. Employee is occasionally required to ascend and/or descend a ladder or stairs to reach work areas. The employee must regularly move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 50 pounds. Specific abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee views computer monitor frequently. The employee is required to be able to effectively communicate while on the job site and throughout the completion of duties.

The working conditions of this positionrequires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/aridconditions. Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to maintain safety and prevent exposure to harmful materials. The environment for which this position functions may be exposed to prolonged loud noises and may contain scents and fragrances.
