Job summary

El Capitan Canyon is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain a pristine 300-acre wilderness landscape at a luxury glamping resort in Goleta, CA. You will report to the Groundskeeping Manager and help uphold the property’s outdoor beauty and safety standards.

Responsibilities include lawn care, weed control, irrigation inspection, debris removal, and teamwork to keep the resort presentable. A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift 25 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• High School Education required.
• Previous groundskeeping experience in resort/hospitality.
• Knowledge of general grounds maintenance techniques.
• Ability to endure seasonal outdoor temperatures.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Able to work independently or in a team.
• Proficient with hand tools, power equipment, and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and perform maintenance with tools.
• Maintain manicured lawns and weed control; rake leaves, plant flowers and shrubs, spread mulch.
• Inspect and repair irrigation system as needed.
• Pick up trash and debris from common areas daily; empty containers as needed.
• Report maintenance issues to the manager.
• Ensure resort is presentable and adheres to company standards.
• Safely operate vehicles for job duties and follow safety procedures.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Summary

Do you enjoy working outdoors in a beautiful wooded environment? As a Groundskeeper at El Capitan Canyon Resort, you will report to the Groundskeeping Manager and help maintain the integrity of a pristine wilderness landscape on 300 acres of a luxury glamping resort.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash, shovel, and perform maintenance or repair duties using saws, blowers, mowers, drills or other hand tools.
• Ensure lawns are manicured appropriately. Regularly treat weeds for weed control, weed whip, rake leaves, plant flowers and shrubs, spread mulch, woodchips or stones, trim shrubs and hedges, cut and remove tree limbs damaged by adverse weather conditions, and perform other lawn care services as necessary.
• Inspect irrigation system regularly to ensure it is working properly; repair as needed.
• Pick up trash and debris from common areas and streets on a daily basis. Empty common area trash containers as needed.
• Report all resort maintenance issues and concerns identified while performing daily duties to manager.
• Ensure resort is presentable at all times and adheres to El Capitan Canyon Resort’s standards.
• Safely operate vehicles for the purpose of performing job duties.
• Follow safety procedures while performing duties.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Education.
• Previous groundskeeping experience in the resort/hospitality industry.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general grounds maintenance techniques.
• Ability to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery.
• Ability to provide legible written reports.
• Ability to work well independently as well as on a team.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
