Responsibilities

• Mow grass, plow snow, water lawns, feed and trim shrubs, tend flower beds and regularly inspect assigned work areas to insure proper standards are maintained.
• Operate lawn and grounds equipment including power mowers, snow blowers, bucket loaders and other power equipment.
• Repair and maintain facility sidewalks and parking lots.
• Assist Lead Groundskeeper with planning, planting and maintaining exterior and interior landscaping in accordance with the landscaping plan.
• Remove refuse and trash from grounds.
• Adjust, clean and perform minor mechanical work on grounds equipment.
• Recommend for purchase and suggest suitable locations for trees and shrubs.
• May apply pesticides to plants as directed.
• Perform duties and operate equipment in a safe manner.

• Ability to transport all supplies to and from work areas.
• Must be able to operate equipment.
• Must be able to walk, stand, and work on hand and knees for long periods of time.
• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
