Job summary

Holiday Inn Club Vacations Seaside Resort in Galveston, TX is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the resort’s exterior and common areas, including debris removal and power washing. You’ll ensure the property is clean, safe, and welcoming for guests and staff.

Responsibilities include picking up trash, inspecting outdoor spaces, operating motorized equipment, and assisting with event setups. A high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and weekend availability are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have one year of driving experience or a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate motorized equipment.
• Able to lift more than 50 lbs.
• Excellent reading and written communication skills.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Pick up trash, litter, and debris throughout resort grounds and common areas.
• Power wash walkways, patios, and outdoor surfaces as needed.
• Inspect and clean outdoor common areas including entrances, sidewalks, and recreational spaces.
• Remove natural debris such as leaves and branches.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
• Assist with minor outdoor upkeep tasks as requested.
• Support special event setups and seasonal property needs.

The Groundskeeper will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the resort’s exterior and common areas. This includes debris and trash removal, power washing, and reporting any maintenance concerns. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping the property clean, safe, and welcoming for all guests and staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

• Pick up trash, litter, and debris throughout the resort grounds and common areas.
• Power wash walkways, patios, and other outdoor surfaces as needed.
• Regularly inspect and clean common outdoor areas, including entrances, sidewalks, and recreational spaces.
• Remove natural debris such as leaves, branches, and other obstructions.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the maintenance team promptly.
• Assist with minor outdoor upkeep tasks when requested.
• Support special event setups and seasonal property needs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Valid Driver's License.

QUALIFICATIONS
