Job summary

S L Nusbaum Realty Co. is seeking a Groundskeeper for our Valor community in Fredericksburg, VA. The role supports property upkeep, safety, and resident satisfaction on-site.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, and requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, along with basic maintenance tasks. Work hours align with community operations and may include weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write in English.
• Valid Driver’s License (if operating a vehicle).

Responsibilities

• Greet residents, prospects, and visitors making them feel welcome and comfortable.
• Remove and dispose of all trash from the grounds, parking pots, hallways, laundries, apartments, and rental office.
• Work to enhance the appearance of all common areas; clean pool, and playgrounds, weed lawns and flower beds, place mulch, prune trees etc.
• Routinely inspect all ground spaces including but not limited to natural terrain which may post a trip hazard by a visible hole, divot, or any other means.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Mow and trim the lawn.
• Perform minor repairs requiring the use of hand tools.
• Clean roofs and gutters.
• Paint signage.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Maintain the property in a clean, safe, and attractive condition at all times, and perform related functions as required. This position is considered an essential function to the operation of the community therefore, consistent attendance is an essential function of this position, as it directly impacts the employee’s ability to perform their duties effectively and ensures proper workflow and communication within the team.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet residents, prospects, and visitors making them feel welcome and comfortable.

• Hours worked will coincide with the hours of operation in the community. This position may be required to work on weekends as necessary.
