Job summary

Ardent Communities is seeking dependable Groundskeepers to join our property management team at a multi-family residential community. The Groundskeeper maintains exterior areas, sidewalks, parking, and common spaces to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents.

The ideal candidate enjoys outdoor work, is reliable, pays attention to detail, and can operate landscaping equipment. Valid driver’s license required; overtime and winter snow/ice duties apply as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or property maintenance preferred.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Operate basic landscaping equipment such as string trimmers and blowers.
• Physical work including standing, bending, lifting, and carrying.
• Attention to detail and property aesthetics.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Remove weeds, leaves, branches, litter, and debris from the property.
• Maintain and clean sidewalks, walkways, parking areas, and exterior common areas.
• Maintain the appearance of building entrances, patios, outdoor spaces, and amenities.
• Empty exterior trash receptacles and manage waste.
• Assist with snow and ice removal during winter months.
• Identify and report property damage, safety hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Assist with exterior maintenance and special projects with the team.

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

Ardent Communities is seeking dependable and hardworking Groundskeepers to join our property management team at a multi-family residential apartment community. The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, and overall condition of the property's exterior areas, including grounds, amenities, sidewalks, parking areas, and common outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, is dependable, and understands the importance of maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Remove weeds, leaves, branches, litter, and debris from the property.
• Maintain and clean sidewalks, walkways, parking areas, and exterior common areas.
• Maintain the appearance of building entrances, patios, outdoor common areas, and other property amenities.
• Empty and maintain exterior trash receptacles.
• Assist with snow and ice removal during winter months, as needed.
• Identify and report property damage, safety hazards, lighting issues, irrigation problems, or maintenance concerns.
• Assist the maintenance team with exterior maintenance and special projects.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Keep equipment, tools, storage areas, and work areas clean and organized.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Respond professionally and courteously to resident questions or concerns.
• Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive environment throughout the community.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.

Physical Requirements

The position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and carrying. The employee may be required to lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and work outdoors for extended periods.

Work Environment

This position is primarily outdoors and may involve exposure to heat, cold, rain, snow, dust, dirt, noise, and other outdoor conditions. The Groundskeeper must follow appropriate safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
