This temporary position is located in Goldsboro - Wayne County.

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $18.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 400 Old Smithfield Rd., Goldsboro, NC 27530.

The duties of this position will be landscaping and mowing grass.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities / Competencies

• Knowledge of plant maintenance used in landscape installation and grounds maintenance, operation of lawnmowers, weed eaters and edger’s, tractors, backhoe, bobcat.
• Ability to observe plants, identify problems, assess condition and health of plants.
• Skill in the proper use and care of equipment and tools used in performing work assignments.
• Ability to follow oral work assignments.
• Physical strength sufficient to move relatively heavy objects and to work at heavy manual tasks for considerable periods of time.

Education and/or experience in grounds work that is directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices of the trade and equivalent to two years of experience in planting, cultivation, and care of shrubs, trees, plants, and grasses; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
