This is a temporary position in Goldsboro - Wayne County, located at 400 Old Smithfield Rd., Goldsboro, NC 27530. The hourly rate of pay is $18.00, based on education and/or relevant work experience.

Description of Work

This position involves landscaping and mowing grass. It is a temporary role with no leave or retirement benefits. Temporary employees working an average of 30+ hours/week may be eligible for health insurance through the High Deductible Health Plan. Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their current roles to work in this temporary position. All temporaries are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of plant maintenance, landscape installation, and grounds maintenance; operation of lawnmowers, weed eaters, edgers, tractors, backhoe, bobcat.
• Ability to observe plants, identify problems, assess their health.
• Skill in proper use and care of equipment and tools.
• Ability to follow oral instructions.
• Physical strength for manual tasks and moving heavy objects.

Minimum Education and Experience
