The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is hiring for a Grounds Maintenance position at Murdoch Developmental Center in Butner, NC. The role covers extensive outdoor grounds work including trimming, mulching, pruning, and general cleanup, with occasional shop area cleaning and event support.

This position is responsible for the complete maintenance of over 100 acres of Murdoch Center's grounds. Duties include line trimming, raking leaves, mulching, tree cutting and trimming, weeding, pruning, and general clean-up. Other duties include cleaning of shop area, equipment maintenance (minor/preventive), assist with campus moves and event set-ups/break downs, adverse weather team. Grounds employees provide extra manpower for other assignments as required.

Recruitment Range: $31,200.00 - $48,810.00

Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Murdoch Developmental Center is a 24/7 state residential facility located in Butner, NC, near the Research Triangle area. Murdoch serves individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). Murdoch is a caring community where professionals work with people of various ages, cognitive and functional abilities.
