Tucson Unified School District is hiring a grounds maintenance assistant to help maintain school grounds and athletic fields at Booth-Fickett Math & Science Magnet School, located at Broadway & Kolb Area. This Blue Collar, 0.5–4 hours per day, 12-month work calendar position is part-time with no district benefits for under 30 hours.

Minimum requirements include basic math skills and strong verbal and written English communication to read and follow instructions.

Minimum Requirements

• Basic math skills.
• Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

Requirements Prior To Start Date

• FBI fingerprint background check.
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
• Post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and 50 lb lift test.
• Valid Arizona Driver’s license
• MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.

Work Calendar: 12 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
