Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is hiring to support early childhood teaching at Manzo Elementary School in the Speedway & Grande Ave area, Tucson, AZ. This position is 0.6 to 4.8 hours per day on a 9-month calendar.

Minimum requirements include English literacy, a high school diploma or GED, and either an associate degree or 60 credits (or AZ approved assessment). Copy of diploma or transcripts must be provided at hire.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.


• Associate’s (or higher) degree OR 60 Semester-Hour credits from an accredited institution OR AZ Dept. of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test.

Copy of diploma, transcripts or test results must be submitted upon hire

Requirements Prior To Start Date

• AZ Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card


• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.


• CPR and First Aid Certification (required within 90 days of hire at employee's expense). Certification must be maintained current during course of employment.


• A minimum of six units of formal Early Childhood training classes required OR must be willing to enroll in courses

FTE: .6 - 4.8 hours per day

Work Calendar: 9 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
