Description: Grounds Student Employee Job Description
Brief Job Description: Grounds Department manages, maintains, and provides installation and improvements of the exterior spaces on campus. These spaces include, but are not limited to, campus grounds, walks, streets, athletic fields, and buffer areas between the campus and Cowling Arboretum.
The Grounds student workers’ duties include: mowing, clearing brush, landscape pruning, spring/fall clean-up, raking, snow removal, help with the set-up/ take-down of the hockey rink, planting of flower beds, and other miscellaneous Grounds duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Positive, energetic attitude; ability to work in outdoor elements: sun, wind, rain, snow; responsible and accountable; and take pride in a job well done.
As a student worker for the Grounds Department, it is mandatory to have a valid driver’s license to operate/drive a UTV as part of the job.
Hours: Working hours are between 7:0 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday
