Job summary

SSC Services for Education is hiring immediately for full time and part time groundskeeper positions at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY 40506. Openings at other locations within the school district available; online applications accepted only.

The role plans and administers grounds and plant maintenance, trims shrubs, and maintains lawns; prior groundskeeping experience is preferred. The fixed pay rate is $17.55 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Inspects common areas and reports deficiencies to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Mows lawns weekly during the proper season.
• Trims bushes to maintain neat appearance.
• Weeds flowerbeds weekly.
• Shovels exterior walkways during wintery weather; salts or sands icy walkways as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
