Tarantino-Properties, Inc. in North Houston is hiring a Groundkeeper to prepare vacant apartments for market-ready status and maintain the grounds and common areas.

You will provide residents with excellent service, perform routine cleaning, and assist the maintenance team as needed; bilingual abilities are preferred to communicate with residents and staff.

This on-site role requires physical work and teamwork, with opportunities to contribute to a neat, welcoming community.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in maintenance or custodial work is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must be able to occasionally lift 50lbs.
• Bilingual preferred to assist residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for market ready status through turnover repairs and improvements.
• Maintain snow removal, cleaning and maintenance of grounds, including common areas.
• Provide residents with outstanding customer service.
• Keep the property clean and free of trash and debris.
• Pick up trash around buildings, parking areas, and common spaces.
• Clean breezeways, stairwells, and other shared areas.
• Maintain dumpster and trash areas.
• Assist the maintenance team with light tasks when needed.
• Report any maintenance or safety concerns to management.
• Help keep the community neat and welcoming for residents.
