Job summary

Tresco Inc. is seeking a dependable grounds maintenance technician in Las Cruces, NM.

You will mow medians, roadways, shoulders, and landscaped areas, trim vegetation in hard-to-reach areas, maintain desert landscaping, and manage irrigation systems including Rain Bird valves, sprinklers, timers, and wiring. The role requires at least 3 years of experience in grounds maintenance and irrigation, a valid driver's license, and a Weed/Pest Control Applicator license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in grounds maintenance
• Experience with irrigation systems
• Tractor and mowing equipment operation

Responsibilities

• Mow medians, roadways, shoulders, and landscaped areas
• Trim grass and vegetation in hard-to-reach areas
• Maintain desert landscaping and irrigationSystems
• Repair and maintain irrigation systems including Rain Bird valves, sprinkler heads, timers, pipes, wiring, and fittings
• Dig trenches for irrigation repairs
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment including lubrication and fluid checks
• Repair and replace cable fencing, posts, and hardware
• Inspect outdoor areas for hazards and report maintenance needs
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE
• Assist with rest area repairs and occasional custodial duties
• Remove snow and ice when necessary
• Provide courteous assistance to the public
• Complete additional assignments as directed by the supervisor
• Operate riding mowers and related equipment
