Chugach Government Solutions is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Laborer in Oceanside, CA to maintain the interior and exterior of buildings, grounds, and roadways, and perform minor repairs of structures and equipment.

Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, cleaning, planting, watering, debris removal, and operating power tools. Must be a US citizen with 6 months’ landscape experience and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Outdoor conditions and variable hours apply.

Qualifikationen

• Must be a United States citizen or eligible to work in the United States.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience with mowing and landscape equipment.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.

Aufgaben

• Cut grass using walk-behind or riding mowers (less than 2,000 lbs).
• Trim hedges/edges around walkways, flower beds, and walls using hedge trimmers, clippers, and edging tools.
• Clean walks, drives and parking areas by means of a landscape blower or vacuum.
• Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth using shears and other hand tools.
• Spray lawns, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicide, and/or insecticide.
• Plant grass, trees, flowers, and shrubs.
• Water lawns and shrubs.
• Perform litter and debris clean-up.
• Weed plant and ornamental landscape beds.
• Repair and paints fences, gates, benches, buildings, and equipment.
• Move supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrows or hand trucks.
