An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Worker to maintain parks, athletic fields, and municipal buildings. This role involves mowing, trimming, and landscaping, ensuring a clean and safe environment for the community. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma and some experience with light equipment. A valid driver's license is required. Definition / General Purpose:
Maintains athletic fields, parks, municipal buildings, irrigation, equipment and pool facilities.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Works under the general supervision of the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor.
Safety classes, playground maintenance, employee updates, description summaries, weekly reports, and cemetery records.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent;
One (1) to three (3) months related experience operating light Equipment or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Valid state driver's license or ability to obtain one.
After-hours work is sometimes required as assigned and largely related to special events.
Be a self-starter and show initiative.

Tools and Equipment Used:
Pickup truck, gators; lawn/turf and landscaping equipment, including tractors, mowers, acidifiers/aeration equipment, chain saw, edger's, backflows, weed trimmers, trailers, electric motors, pumps, sprinklers, irrigation systems; miscellaneous hand and power tools for lawn maintenance.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions in all City related facilities to include the Golf Course. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration or risk of electrical shock. Power tools, motor/landscaping equipment, construction equipment, toxic fumes, weather.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
