Auburn University is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Employee to support upkeep of university grounds, landscapes, and outdoor facilities. The role provides practical work experience for students while contributing to a safe, attractive campus environment.

Responsibilities include routine grounds maintenance, operating tools and equipment safely, assisting with event setup, and following health and safety procedures. Evening and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled Auburn student required.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional appearance and conduct.
• Ability to safely operate university equipment.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

The Crooked Oaks Grounds Maintenance Employee supports the maintenance and upkeep of university grounds, landscapes, and outdoor facilities to promote a safe, attractive, and functional environment for students, employees, and visitors. Provides assistance with grounds operations, event support, and other related activities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine grounds maintenance and landscape upkeep.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and groundskeeping equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain campus grounds, including lawns, trees, shrubs, hedges, and walkways.
• Remove trash, debris, and other materials from outdoor areas.

Qualifications
