Job summary

APTIM is seeking a Grounds Laborer to perform a range of outdoor maintenance tasks at Fort Irwin National Training Center, supporting facilities and grounds upkeep and assisting trade crews.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, knowledge of landscaping equipment, and a valid California driver’s license. Work is outdoors, with standard M-F hours and desert conditions described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: Working knowledge of landscaping equipment.
• Licenses: Must possess a valid California driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of labor tasks involved in the maintenance of facilities, street maintenance equipment and grounds at the Fort Irwin National Training Center.
• Labor tasks to assist trades people in the repair and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and grounds at the Fort Irwin National Training Center and occasionally the Barstow Dagget Airfield.
• Participation in all APTIM/HDSS EHS and Quality procedures.
• Must be able to act professionally in the presence of the public and co-workers.
• Must be able to accurately track time, work orders, and parts using electronic devices.
